Product Description

The 18-inch ASI Grab Bar is a top - notch safety solution. It's engineered to not only meet but surpass the ADAAG standards set in ICC/ANSI A117.1 - 2003 and CFR 28 Part 36 (Federal Register Vol. 56 No 144, 26 July 1991). This means it can support a load of 250 pounds (113.4 kg) with ease. Mounting it correctly on the wall is key to achieving this strength. The fastener system is sized appropriately to handle shear, tension, pullout, and torsion loads from the maximum weight. When installed properly, it can hold over 1350 lbs (612.4 kg). Crafted from 18 - gauge tubing and 1/8 - inch (3 mm) thick flanges of stainless steel type 304 with a satin finish, it looks great and is durable. The 1/8 - inch (3 mm) thick closure plate adds to its sturdiness. It's all - welded for extra reliability. There are three holes in each flange for rear mounting.

Using your ASI 159 Front Mount Security Grab Bar is easy. First, find a suitable spot on the wall where you need support. Make sure the wall can handle the weight of the grab bar. Line up the holes on the flanges with the wall and use the appropriate fasteners to mount it. When using the grab bar, hold it firmly to ensure stability. Don't put sudden or excessive force on it. For maintenance, wipe it down regularly with a soft cloth and mild cleaner. This will keep its satin finish looking good and prevent any dirt or grime buildup. Avoid using abrasive cleaners as they can scratch the surface. Check the fasteners periodically to make sure they're tight. If you notice any signs of wear or damage, stop using the grab bar and contact a professional for inspection or replacement.
