The concealed flange, 0.5 inches deep and 3 inches in diameter, is made of type 304 stainless steel and comes with 3 stainless steel set screws and one back plate, welded to the tubing. The standard clearance between the finished wall and the inner edge of the tubing is 1.5 inches. The required mounting height is 33 to 36 inches from the top of the grab bar's gripping surface to the finished floor. A 36-inch horizontal grab bar should be installed on the back wall, and a 42-inch one on the side wall or partition stall. Screws are not included. These grab bars are designed and tested to withstand a downward pull that exceeds HUD, HEW, FHA, VA, and other Federal, State, and local codes, including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
