The concealed flange is 1/2-inch deep, made of type 304 stainless steel, 3 inches in diameter, and comes with 3 stainless steel set screws and one back plate. Flanges and center posts are welded to the tubing. The standard clearance between the finished wall surface and the inner edge of the tubing is 1-1/2 inches. The required mounting height is 33 to 36 inches from the top of the grab bar gripping surface to the finish floor. The 36-inch horizontal grab bar should be installed on the back wall, and the 42-inch one on the side wall or partition stall. Screws are not included. These grab bars are designed and tested to withstand a downward pull that exceeds HUD, HEW, FHA, VA, and other Federal, State, and local codes, including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Dimensions are measured from the center-line to the center-line of the tubing, unless noted otherwise on the grab bar application.

Using the Bobrick grab bar is simple. First, make sure you have the right tools for installation as screws are not provided. Choose the appropriate location on the wall based on the recommended mounting height - 33 to 36 inches from the top of the gripping surface to the floor. The 36 - inch bar goes on the back wall and the 42 - inch on the side wall or partition stall. When you hold the grab bar, enjoy the comfortable 1.5 - inch diameter grip. As for maintenance, just wipe it down regularly with a soft cloth to keep the matte black finish looking good. Avoid using abrasive cleaners as they may damage the coating. Also, check the mounting screws periodically to ensure they are tight and the bar is secure. This way, you can rely on your grab bar for a long time and stay safe.
