The Swing-Up Grab Bar is crafted from 304 stainless steel alloy 18-8 with a Satin finish. It features a 1-1/2” diameter (Ø38) wall tubing hinge that rides on a solid bar axle and comes with a twin torsion-spring counterbalance. There's a vertical position gravity lock with a manual release. A tamper-resistant screw allows you to lock the bar in the vertical position. It can be easily operated with one hand. The grab bar tube has a plastic end cap to cushion the contact with the wall plate when in use. Using this swing-up grab bar is simple. You can operate it with one hand. To use it, just pull it down from the vertical position. When you're done, you can push it back up and use the manual release on the vertical position gravity lock. There's also a tamper-resistant screw if you want to lock it in the vertical position. For maintenance, wipe it regularly with a soft, damp cloth to keep it clean. Avoid using abrasive cleaners as they might damage the satin finish. Make sure to check the screws and the hinge periodically to ensure they're tight and in good working condition.
