Product Description

This commercial specimen cabinet offers a convenient way to transfer specimens from the patient area to the laboratory. It can be mounted in walls that are 3 to 10 inches thick using an adjustable flange. Crafted from Type 304 stainless steel with a satin finish, it's durable and stylish. The ADA-compliant interlocking mechanism stops both doors from opening simultaneously and provides a sight barrier. There's also a removable stainless steel spillage tray for easy cleaning. The rough wall opening measures 12-3/8 inches wide by 12-3/8 inches high (314 x 314mm). The cabinet is made entirely of 20 gauge (0.9mm) Type 304 stainless steel with all-welded construction and a satin finish on all exposed surfaces. The two flanges are 18 gauge (1.2mm) Type 304 stainless steel, including an integral fixed wall flange and an adjustable one. The two doors are 20 gauge (0.9mm) Type 304 stainless steel with an interlock feature. The spillage tray is also made of 20 gauge (0.9mm) Type 304 stainless steel with all-welded construction. To operate, open the patient-side door, place the samples inside, and the lab-side door can't open until the patient-side door is closed. For installation, cut the wall opening, insert the cabinet, drill through the mounting holes into the framing, insert the screws and tighten. Remove the paper backing from the adjustable wall flange and slide it over the cabinet on the opposite side of the wall. This cabinet meets specifications like having two interlocked doors, being made of satin-finished Type 304 stainless steel, and complying with ADA-ABA and ICC/ANSI A117.1 standards for one-hand operation with less than 5 pounds of force (22.2 N) without tight grasping, pinching or twisting of the wrist. It comes with a spillage tray and adjustable wall flange, and the doors are secured with a full-length stainless steel piano-hinge.

Using the specimen cabinet is easy. First, open the door on the patient side. Place your samples inside the cabinet. Remember, the door on the lab side won't open until you close the patient side door. This is for your safety and to keep things private. When it comes to installation, you need to cut a wall opening that's 12-3/8 inches wide and 12-3/8 inches high. Then, insert the cabinet into the opening. Drill holes through the provided mounting holes into the wall framing. Put in the right screws and tighten them up. On the other side of the wall, take the paper backing off the adjustable wall flange. This exposes a strong adhesive. Slide the flange over the cabinet and press it firmly against the wall. For maintenance, the removable spillage tray is a great feature. You can take it out and clean it regularly to keep the cabinet hygienic. Also, check the doors and hinges from time to time to make sure they're working smoothly. If you notice any issues, like the doors not closing properly or the interlock not working, contact a professional for help. And always follow the ADA-ABA and ICC/ANSI A117.1 standards when using the cabinet to ensure it's used correctly and safely.
