The slow-close phenolic L-shaped fold-up shower seat offers enhanced safety and effortless use. Gas-charged struts help with one-handed opening, allowing the seat to lower slowly to its operating position and also assist in partial closing. Guide brackets with a spring detent stop the seat from dropping, provide strong support during use, and lock the seat in its storage position with a spring mechanism. This right-handed seat meets ADA accessibility guidelines, catering to the needs of the physically disabled and the elderly. It's made of ½” (13 mm) thick, one-piece solid white phenolic with a black core. The frame, support legs, flanges, and bracket are crafted from type 304 satin finish stainless steel. Only the phenolic seat can be reversed on-site. The seat is 33″ (838 mm) wide and extends 22-7⁄8″ (581 mm) from the wall.

Using your new shower seat is easy. To open it, simply use one hand to pull the seat down slowly. The gas struts will help you with this and ensure the seat doesn't drop suddenly. When you're done using it, push it back up gently, and the spring detent in the guide brackets will lock it in the storage position. Remember, this is a right-handed seat designed to meet ADA guidelines, so make sure it's installed correctly to suit your needs. As for maintenance, regularly wipe down the white phenolic seat with a mild soap and water solution. For the stainless - steel frame, support legs, flanges, and bracket, a soft cloth and some stainless - steel cleaner will keep them looking shiny. Also, note that only the phenolic seat can be reversed in the field, so be careful if you plan to do this.
