Using the ASI 8154 Recessed Specimen Pass - Thru Cabinet is straightforward. To deposit a specimen, simply open one of the doors and place the sample inside. Remember, the interlocking mechanism ensures that only one door can be open at a time, so make sure the first door is fully closed before trying to access the specimen from the other side. When it comes to installation, first, measure your wall to ensure it's between 1 - 3/4 inches and 5 - 1/2 inches thick. Then, cut a rough opening that's 11 - 1/2 inches wide and 11 inches high. Secure the fixed flange first using the provided No10 self - tapping screws through the 4 mounting holes. After that, attach the adjustable flange to the other side of the wall. If you want to comply with ADA guidelines, pay attention to the height of the door centerline above the finished floor based on the type of access you have. For regular use, setting the centerline at 54 inches above the floor is a good choice. As for maintenance, the removable stainless steel drip tray is a great feature. Just take it out regularly and clean it to keep the cabinet tidy. Also, wipe the satin - finished surfaces with a soft cloth to maintain their shine and smudge - resistant quality. During shipping, the surfaces are protected with a PVC film. Remove this film after installation for the best look.
